This month R1 1979 replaced Milan 1692 on the pit road. 1692 still has issues with it’s compressor that need working out, but 1979 broke a brake rigging spring and this spring is difficult to work on with the bogies still on the car – so 1979 was moved into the workshop and lifted off it’s bogies enabling the repair to be easily carried out. While off the car, the bogies are getting a full clean and going over.
Finishing work is still being done on 11W (139s). It now has been fully repainted and only needs attention to it’s water pump to become a fully functional maintence car again.
The Wednesday crew are still working on the cable-trailer.
