Saturday 27th August, 2022 – The Shire Street Paws Festival

Street Paws is heading back to Loftus due to the popularity of the last event in February. More details to follow.

Sunday 28th August, 2022 – P 1497 Centenary

We’re holding a special day celebrating the centenary of our P class tram 1497 – launched 28th August 1922. The day will be all about 1497 as it celebrates a milestone birthday. Joining the festivities to celebrate are O Class 1111 and contemporary trams from around Australia, along with period appropriate vintage cars.

Sunday 25th September, 2022 – Back to the Fifties

Let’s turn the clock back to September 1957! It’s been 65 years since the closure of the Pitt St and Castlereagh St “Green lines” which included Clovelly, Crown St, Rosebery, Daceyville, Cooks River, Dulwich Hill, Darling St Wharf lines and Newtown Depot. So to celebrate, we’re operating our vintage Sydney trams which operated these lines until closure. We may have a few visitors during the day too. Usual Sunday operating hours. Saturday 29th October, 2022 – Trams in the Twilight

Experience tram travel in a whole new “twilight”! As the sun sets, the bright lights of the trams take over and a whole new experience begins. The Sydney Bus Museum will be joining us for the evening as well, as will photographers and enthusiasts who enjoyed our last photographer’s afternoon. Trams run from 3-8pm.
 

Saturday 3rd December, 2022 – Members and Friends Christmas BBQ

The Board of the Sydney Tramway Museum invites members & friends and their family to a members afternoon BBQ and tram rides on Saturday, 3 December commencing 3pm running until 8pm.
