Work has commenced on relaying 14.5m of track from the Princes Highway crossing back towards Loftus Junction in concrete. The infrastructure crew will replace life-expired timber sleepers with welded steel ones using recycled rails, and pour concrete in the four foot and cess afterwards. The work is being done in a way that will allow the National Park line to remain open to traffic in the meantime.
