Group visits Groups of people ranging from pre-schoolers to those with Seniors' Cards find that they have a particularly interesting time at our Museum. Almost all groups take advantage of our multi-ride arrangements and take trips on both lines (including one into the Royal National Park) and rides on different model trams. For school excursions, please click Schools. We are more than happy to include conducted tours to groups of visitors - tailored to their interest level. This even extends to providing a setting for wedding photos - usually beyond our normal opening hours. Sydney's olde worlde trams provide a romantic setting with a difference! Towards the end of the year, we are pleased to offer our venue as an end of year function although we do not provide catering. However, our facilities lend themselves to picnics, or for those who prefer to arrange their own food and drink. Groups who visit us throughout the year include Vacation Care Centres, touring groups (local and overseas), Probus Clubs, service clubs and historical societies. For groups which include those with mobility impairments, our facilities include an easy-access platform even some trams with wide doors. For admission charges, please click Entry.A large picnic shelter (actually the original huge Railway Square Tramway Waiting Shed) boasts picnic tables and benches is proving ideal for groups. All organisations planning a visit to us are asked to book through our Monday to Friday Group Booking Line, 9542 3604. We like to know that you are coming so that we can ensure that your group can enjoy the best day possible. Should Wednesdays or Sundays be unsuitable for particular groups, special openings of the Museum can sometimes be arranged if the numbers are sufficient. (The Museum is open every day in Autumn, Winter and Spring holidays.)Group booking line - 9542 3604 - business hours on weekdays. |
