Title: Museum Entry

Subtitle: Opening Times

The Museum is open and trams operate every Sunday and public holiday (except Christmas Day) from 10am until 5pm, and every Wednesday from 10am until 3pm.

Additionally, during School Holiday periods, the Museum is open and trams operate DAILY, except during the Christmas school holidays when the Museum is open only during the last two weeks in January. Weekday holiday hours are from 10am until 3pm, and Saturdays from 12 noon until 5pm.

Last entry on all occasions is one hour before closure.

Trams operate to The Royal National Park every Sunday and public holiday, the first tram operates at 9.15am, then hourly with the last tram at 4.15pm. On other days, National Park trams operate as required while the Museum is open.

Subtitle: Entry Fees

The Museum entry fees are:

  • Adults $15
  • Children $8
  • Seniors and concessions $10
  • Family of (2 adults + 2 children) $46, additional children in the same family free.
  • Children under 5 years of age are also free.

Admission covers entry to the Display Hall, unlimited tram rides on both the Museum's and the Royal National Park lines, and use of picnic area, electric barbecues and other facilities on the day of your visit. A souvenir shop and kiosk are also provided.

For the convenience of visitors to the Royal National Park, an independent return fare of $6 adults, $4 child/concession is available on the Parklink service. Single (one-way) fares are $4 adults, $3 child/concession.

Subtitle: Mobility Impaired Access

Mobility-impaired visitors have easy access to most of the site. As the trams themselves were designed up to 100 years ago, access to the trams is somewhat restricted by their design. However, a platform is provided to ease access to trams and the Museum staff will assist wherever possible.

Subtitle: Animals

No animals, aside from accredited guide dogs, are permitted on the grounds of the Museum or on the trams.
