Brisbane's Day in Sydney

With many homesick Brisbanians, core tram fans, Morris Minor and Early Holden devotees plus military historians all accompanied by the beautifully maintained and groomed vehicles, it was a perfect day for all.

President of Brisbane Tram Museum, Peter Hyde, regaled those present with the chequered history of 180 - it seems that it has had more re-launches than the US space programme! Then there was the ribbon cutting with our blunt pair of scissors when someone called for De Groot!

Most of us then rode in style in a convoy of three Brisbane trams. Brisbane 180 tirelessly conveyed happy riders all afternoon, all impressed with the smoothness of the ride and the high standard of the tram's restoration!

Thanks to all who were able to support us in making this day so memorable ... and congratulations to all who who took part in 180's restoration ... giving this old tram yet another "re-launch"!
